Sharing the Model

“One of our primary missions has been that if we were to make the model successful – which it is – we would want to share it with other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.”

– Anthony Cavanagh, Ganbina CEO

Sharing the model

Ganbina has a vision to share the Jobs4U2 model with other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities throughout Australia and internationally.

For over 25 years, Ganbina has empowered Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people in the Goulburn Valley, leading to significant improvements in high school graduation rates and career success. The success of our Jobs4U2 program demonstrates that overcoming socio-economic disadvantage is achievable with the right approach.

Since 2018, we’ve shared and co-designed the model with Queensland and are exploring further growth in other states and international communities. We seek to partner with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities that are regional, have a significant population, high youth unemployment, and a diverse economy with job opportunities.
