Often, our youth are the first in their families to get an after-school job, go on to further education, and have a career. This program is for those that are seeking an apprenticeship, traineeship or employment, and excludes anyone who is still at school or in training.

A Project Officer works with you to create a vision for your career and to develop the skills you need to get there. They will meet with you fortnightly.

The Program inlclues:

• Assistance with formal documents such as birth certificates, bank accounts and a tax file number
• Developing an understanding of a career pathway
• Building confidence in applying for a position
• Developing strategies for challenges you may encounter in the workforce

Ganbina’s Employment Academy aims to maximise the opportunity for participants who require specialised career advice and support in additon to the general mentoring provided to achieve their career and training goals.

Young people enrolled in our Training or Employment Propgram can join the intensive 7-week course consisting of specific modules targeted at employment readiness.

• Interview techniques
• Legal information
• Resume writing
• Skills development
• Navigating social media
