General

Yes, the CEO and leadership team are all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. All of our Shepparton Head Office staff are Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and many belong to local mobs and have grown up in the community.

About the program

We are here to support you to fulfil your goals in education, employment and training through Job4U2 accelerated learning, scholarships and mentoring programs.

We also offer support with a series of life skills such as helping you learn how to drive, making sure you have essential identification (I.D) documents, how to write a resume, preparing for job interviews and offering opportunities to develop your cultural connection to Country.

Eligibility

Yes. You need to either live in the Goulburn Valley or be from the Goulburn Valley region.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people aged 5-25 can register for Jobs4U2.

We support you up to the age of 25 if you move outside of this area for education, training or work.

No. This program is only for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people.

Yes, for Jobs Education and Jobs Training, you must be enrolled in mainstream primary or secondary education. We also have expectations that you are attending school to gain access to the program.

No, for Jobs Employment, you need to be seeking an apprenticeship, traineeship or employment and not be in school.

Registration

Registrations for the Jobs4U2 Education Program is open from  January and closes in June each year.

Registrations for Jobs4U2 Training and Employment are open all year round.

Yes. Even if you have previously registered for Jobs4U2, you are required to re-enrol each year.
