To be competitive and achieve their career employment vision most would need to complete some further training after secondary school.
A focus of the Training Program is to support and encourage participant to obtain the right skills, training and qualifications and the application process for tertiary study.
Whether this be tertiary study, TAFE or an apprenticeship, Jobs4U2 Training ensures participants develop workplace readiness for their career.
The Training program includes the following:
- Supporting young people to obtain the right skills, training and qualifications. Project Officers work with participants to identify the necessary training and qualifications to fulfil their career vision.
- Exploring and applying for University, TAFE or a Apprenticeship. Project Officers work with participants to discover University courses, TAFE courses and Apprenticeship options then support them with the application process.
- Networking with potential employers. Ganbina facilitates Career Nights where participants can meet with potential employers.
“I talked to Ganbina a lot about what I wanted to do in the future – and they were more useful than the careers advisors at school because Ganbina could help me connect with Indigenous centres.”
