The Ganbina Youth Achievement Award nominations period opens from Monday September 30th and closes on Friday, October 18th.

The Ganbina Youth Achievement Awards celebrate Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander children and young people’s achievements in education, employment and training.

The awards are open to all of the Goulburn Valley’s Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander children and young people from Year 7-age 25. You do not need to be currently or previously registered with Ganbina’s programs in order to be nominated for or win an award.

We give out 33 awards every year across a range of categories. Each award recipient will receive a prize, a framed award certificate, professional photo with their award and a ticket to the Ganbina Youth Achievement Awards dinner in November.

The awards’ dinner is a celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander achievement, as well as Yorta Yorta and Bangerang culture, with a Welcome to Country and cultural performance at the event.

In order to be eligible for an award, you must be actively engaged in fulltime education, employment or training.

You are able to nominate yourself for any awards that you are eligible for. You can also be nominated by someone else e.g. an employer or teacher.

We have the following award categories available:
