The Ganbina Youth Achievement Awards are open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people from Year 7 and up to 25 years old, who are from the Goulburn Valley and are actively engaged in full-time education, employment or training. You do not need to be registered for any of Ganbina’s programs to win a Ganbina Youth Achievement Award.

No. You do not need to be registered for any of Ganbina’s programs to apply for an award. You need to be Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, either living in or from the Goulburn Valley and be engaged in full-time education, employment or training. Applications are open to youth from Year 7 and higher and no older than 25 years old.

Yes, we encourage all who are eligible for an award to nominate themselves.

The only award that you cannot nominate yourself or someone for is the Adrian Appo OAM Youth of the Year Award. This award is awarded to the highest overall scoring youth out of all the award winners for the year.

Yes. You are able to nominate yourself for any award that you are eligible for.

Once the application period opens you can request an application form by emailing awards@ganbina.com.au

No. Only applications received by the due date will be considered for an award.

Yes, if you are nominated for an award you are expected to attend the Ganbina Youth Achievement Award Dinner Presentation.

Applications for the next Ganbina Youth Achievement Awards open in September and close in October every year.

Yes. Nominees are encouraged to bring family and friends with them to the Ganbina Youth Achievement Awards dinner Presentation.

The key dates for the 2024 Ganbina Youth Achievement Awards are:

Applications open: September 30th, 2024.

Applications close: October 18th, 2024.

Winning applications are contacted: October 24th-25th, 2024.

Ganbina Youth Achievement Award’s dinner: November 15th, 2024.
